I'll eventually put a real bio here. For now, I just thought I'd lay the ground rules:
1. I am an unabashed liberal. I make no apologies for that, and I call 'em how I see 'em. My posts will certainly reflect this.
2. I love sarcasm. My posts will reflect this as well.
3. My posts will most probably be biased and spin to the left. Deal with it. This is why you shouldn't take my word for anything. I will endeavor to provide links to all articles I post about so that you can read them and decide for yourself. I'd like it if you thought like me, but I'd love it if you thought for yourself.
4. If you think I'm full of it, please let me know. But do so in a civil manner, please, or you will be banned from commenting. I don't much care for rudeness and since I'm not being paid to do this, I'm not going to let rude people stress me out.
5. Civil discourse and debate is welcome. Again, just mind your manners. Unfortunately, Vice President Cheney, this means you won't be able to participate. Sorry, but I have teenagers reading this, and someone has to think of the children!
6. If you are a federal agent working for the Justice Department and assigned to my blog, welcome. *waves to Ashcroft* Your presence makes me feel important.
7. If you are Michael Moore or Al Franken, please excuse my squealing. I'm a big fan. ;)
8. Lastly, I am not affiliated with Democratic Underground, though I wish I was. I just happen to think they are really cool and witty. My frequent plugging of their links and mentioning of their site doesn't benefit me in any way.
9. Using the term "pro-abortion" as synonymous with "Pro-Choice" in comments here is grounds for banning. I'm all for free-speech, but that term is willfully ignorant and will be treated as "being rude." You've been warned.
10. Yes, I realize that I'm mostly preaching to the choir. Oh well. Is still better than not saying anything at all.
11. On "friending" in Live Journal: if you friend me, and I know you, I'll friend you back. If you friend me and I don't know you, please drop me a line (either in a comment or email) and I'll friend you back. Anonymous comments are screened by default, but will be unscreened ASAP as long as they aren't rude. If they're rude, the poster will obviously be banned. Please don't be discouraged from posting anonymously if you don't have a Live Journal though. I just want to be careful in case of trolls.
